Currently at Toronto Pearson: 10. Dewpoint has marched up to 3 from -7 yesterday evening--the warm season is resurging.
“There are gods in the woods” -
the thought stops
me cold on the road
surprised at the long shiver
running and running through me
even still -
Whose woods these are some thought they knew.
His house is in the village, too;
He never walks among the trees
That wait for someone there who sees -
Are there gods in the woods?
the trees hear
me ask the question
and shine like silver beacons
lighting and lighting the way
just in case
there are gods in the woods –
