This diss defence prep session was less fraught with imminent peril. I have problems with essences, and children, and ethics, though. Have returned the automobile device. GO bus has been removed from the equation. The chinchilla is missing. The White Sox beat the Angels owing to a blown call in the bottom of the 9th.
Reminds me of something when I was pitching when I was 12 or so: I had struck a guy out; the catcher threw it to first--after the fashion of I-don't-remember-who in the bigs--to go around the horn, which the hitter took to mean that the catcher had dropped the ball, so he ran. The throw to first sailed into right, so the hitter went to second; the ball was thrown away again at second, then at third, and finally at home. The umpires apparently hadn't noticed that the catcher had actually caught the ball, and I was too shy to do anything except, when the dust had settled, say to the catcher, "You didn't drop that, did you?"
And that's another reason why you shouldn't do everything you see on TV, kids.
