Currently at Toronto Pearson: 12. High today in Bancroft: 22. I'm all over the place.

As far as I could tell, I'd never seen flowers like these before today. Then tonight I went to this amazing blog again and thought I'd discovered there that they're blueberries. But now I think they're probably actually huckleberries. (Not that hers aren't blueberries; I'm sure they are. Mine just aren't quite the same as hers.) I also learned from that blog that the things I thought last fall might be blueberries are actually blue cohosh.

Hi Cincinnatus, thanks for the nice comments about my blog. I love the photo you've posted here, with the bee exploring the bloom, but I have to tell you that this is neither blueberry nor huckleberry, but rather the similarly shaped flowers of Leatherleaf (Chamaedaphe calyculata), a plant that loves to have its feet wet in bogs or along lakeshores.
