Holy smoke

Currently at Toronto Pearson: 19. High today: 22.
EC's forecast for tonight in Toronto: "Partly cloudy. 30 percent chance of showers overnight. Local smoke."
The haze started building over Wollaston on Sunday ... couldn't think what could be causing it until it occurred to me this morning that it might be smoke--three days of northeasterlies delivering the remains of trees from northern Quebec into the lungs of southern Ontarians. Groovy. Driving down some parts of 28 and 35/115 tonight, you'd think there was a fire somewhere just off the road.
I actually drank--well, split with L.'s sister--a beer called Holy Smoke on Saturday, at the Hideaway in Coe Hill. It tasted like smoke. That's probably what started it all.
