Old men and sandwiches
Sep. 15th, 2005 11:48 pmHigh temp today, here: 22. Dewpoint then: 7. High dewpoint: 12.
High temp today in TO: 25. Dewpoint then: 10. High dewpoint: 14.
There is something strangely endearing about old men eating packaged sandwiches. I first discovered this at McMaster when Sam Ajzenstat brought out a packaged sandwich during a seminar, peered at it as if it were some small miracle, unwrapped it, and ate it with relish. Tonight an old round man wearing suspenders opened a packaged roast beef sandwich in front of me in line for the Greyhound back.
