Just had to note that the UW first-time-to-20-degrees contest ended today. (Hit 20 at Pearson for the first time this year last week.) I think I had April 20-something, which would have been the latest it ended since it started in 1998, since this has been, so far, the coldest year since 1994 or something. As it turns out, this year the contest ended the 8th-latest in the 17 years it's been running. Which goes to show you something, namely, nothing. The forecasts for the day after tomorrow have snow. So it goes.
Saw a pair of buffleheads on one pond yesterday--

--and a pair of hooded mergansers on another today:

Geese are on the move all over:
