Currently at Toronto Pearson: 11, which would still be about a degree and a half above the old record for today. High today: 15! Yeah, it's happening again: by the time the temperature gets back down below the normal daily high sometime tomorrow night, it will have been close to a week since it was last below the normal high.
Things you don't expect to see in your backyard in the middle of January in Toronto, or at least you didn't used to:

It does have to be said, though, that chamomile is pretty weird. Have I mentioned that it blooms backwards? The yellow part appears first, and then the petals grow around it.
But that's not all that's blooming out there:

I guess there may actually be no month (anymore) in which dandelions don't, or at least can't, bloom in Toronto.

I saw some flies out the window yesterday; no bugs today, but one slug:

The forsythia bush next door started blooming in December, but its blossoms fell off when the snow came, and it hasn't started up again.
