It has become interestingly warm.
Jul. 6th, 2010 02:17 amCurrently at Toronto Pearson: 27. High today: 34.
It is also currently 34 degrees two feet to the right of my head. Things are now warmer than the surface of my skin. I lean back and the chair is warm. I pick up my notebook and it is warm.
Hey, you know what's awesome stuff? Plumbing Wrap, from the makers of Amazing Goop (or at least I thought it was, but the internets are refusing to confirm this. I mean that it's from the makers of Amazing Goop, not that it's awesome stuff.) You wrap it around a cracked PVC pipe that's gushing a disturbing amount of water straight into the ground, and it turns into a mass of rubber, and then your pump quits running every minute and making you insane. Maybe it's toxic as hell, I dunno. It helps me not want to dynamite the cottage, anyway. It says it's temporary, but, you know, everything's temporary. Especially at the cottage.
Elk marinated in gin and cranberry juice is pretty good, too. So is Muskoka Cream Ale. Good stuff all around.
Oh yeah, the power was out for two hours today in Toronto and we all died. You probably heard about it on the news.
