I'm happy, hope you're happy too
Apr. 3rd, 2006 11:59 pmHigh today, here: 18. Dewpoint then: 10. High dewpoint: 11.
High today in TO: 14. Dewpoint then: 10. High dewpoint: 10.
Low today on the balcony: 0.8. High: 16.7. Currently: 0.8.
... and the odd snowflake is coming down. Many more snowflakes were pinging off my head earlier. It's a lovely November day. (Not sure why I associate these days more with fall than spring. It may be related to a misconception I came to suspect may be widely held due to some comments by a couple of weather gerbils on the first day of spring: they said something like, even though spring has started, it'll still be below normal for a few days, leading me to wonder whether people think the temperature is more likely to be above normal in the spring and summer, and more likely to be below normal in the fall and winter. Meanwhile, the noonhour weather gerbil on the local news said, again, today, that the wind would feel colder because it was out of the north. This guy also likes to say that there's "just a bit of ground cover" on the radar at Toronto.)
Read a bit in Maclean's today saying it's a shame that Crash beat Brokeback Mountain for best picture, because Crash is made like a TV show, while Brokeback is made like a movie (and it noted that that most of the voters would've seen the films on TV screens). Haven't seen either of them and probably never will, but I thought the same thing about Gladiator--it looked like a TV show, all tight fast shots.
