I'd try to encourage you by telling you to bear in mind that a dart-throwing monkey can often win this sort of thing, but that would diminish my fabulous accomplishment of winning *knock on wood* both my hockey leagues despite seriously misunderstanding the nature of the game until two-thirds of the way through the season.
Except that this game, if there is this game, will not be of that nature, and hence will be a lot less time-consuming, and also a lot more susceptible to being won by a dart-throwing monkey.
