Weekly domestic day
Mar. 21st, 2006 11:09 pmHigh today, here: -1. Dewpoint then: -10. High dewpoint: -8.
High today in TO: 1. Dewpoint then: -9. High dewpoint: -8.
Low today on the balcony: -9.1. High: -0.1. Currently: -4.3.
Partially fixed the sun problem; the thing at least isn't getting direct sun on it anymore, but it's still going to be picking up a bit of radiated heat, probably. Oddly, I wouldn't have this problem if the balcony faced south instead of northeast; then the front wall of the balcony would block out the incoming sun.
I guess Japan had to take one from Cuba sometime, eh? I am glad the whole thing worked so well, and aroused so much passion, despite its anti-baseball-ness. Hope I get to see some of it, next time around. I wonder if the Americans will show up. (It sure says something that the three guys who were on the team because they're the best, and not because the best didn't bother, were A-Rod, Jeter, and Clemens. Two current Yankees, despite Steinbrenner, and one former Yankee. Well, actually, come to think of it, Derrek Lee is A-team stuff, too.)
Dinner de la semaine: chili. Because red peppers were $0.99/lb. (I have no idea what red peppers might usually cost elsewhere in the world, but around here, they're typically $2.99/lb, if not $3.99/lb.)
Oh, and: the Caspian and Black Seas are, in technical geological terms, oceans. They are oceans because their bottoms are Earth-crust. This Interesting Fact courtesy, naturally, Wikipedia.
