First major snowfall of the season to come overnight and through the day tomorrow, maybe. It's not looking so hot on the radar; there's supposed to be substantial lake enhancement, but you never know about that. Delta debuted in the central Atlantic, not likely to go anywhere or do anything much.
The Daily Flu Inanity: the governor of Iowa has forgone the traditional Pardoning of the Thanksgiving Turkey this year, out of deference to the seriousness of the bird flu situation. (I've read several versions of this story, and I haven't quite gotten the exact logic from any of them, which leaves me to suspect that somebody just didn't want to go anywhere near a turkey.)
I bought a 5 lb. bag of Empire apples the other day, because they were so dazzlingly deeply red. I didn't realize how small they were until I got them home. They're a bit sour (which is why I wouldn't generally buy Empire apples, let alone a 5 lb. bag of them), but offsettingly sweet enough and crisp.
