We're in the zombie room
Jul. 29th, 2005 02:34 amI'll dance to anything by Day Pesh Commode.
I'll also dance to anything by Leh Nerd Cone. Though I'd never had a chance to before last night. Except in the privacy of my own kitchen. Now, if I ever become a Superstar DJ (in my 24-hour Gothic Cafe, Bookstore, and Discotheque), I will be unable to pretend that I am the first DJ so clever as to end the night with "Closing Time".
So, the heat-and-humidity project has been somewhat disrupted by Zombie Night, and associated hangings-over. But, to the best of my recollection, yesterday went something like this:
High temp, here: 22. Dewpoint then: 12. High dewpoint: uh, I don't know. But it was early in the morning, so let's forget about it.
High temp in TO: 23. Dewpoint then: uh, let's say, 12. High dewpoint: uh....
We now resume our regularly scheduled heat-and-humidity service:
High temp today, here: 24. Dewpoint then: 7. High dewpoint: 13.
High temp today in TO: 25. Dewpoint then: 14. High dewpoint: 16.
I'm pretty suspicious of that 7. As in, I don't think there's any chance that's actually right. Right now, EnvCan's got 9, and UW has 12. EnvCan also says "Light Rain", which is its new favourite patently false thing to say, replacing "Light Drizzle" for some reason.
Got ahold of Grimal today. As I suspected, I have enough French to get the gist of everything and miss a lot of details. Which, come to think of it, is about as much English as I have, for most intents and purposes. Grimal doesn't go anywhere that I'm going with the difference between the colour-account and the shape-definition, but says some nice things about the difference itself which I can quote, and which nobody will ever have quoted in English before. So that is Good.
