Dreamfield

Today I learned that, as of at least 1998, the ballpark from Field of Dreams-- i.e., the *set*--still existed (in Iowa, natch), and lots and lots of people were coming, from all over, to see it, and play on it, duly reverentially, apparently. The first one showed up, from New York, two days after the movie opened in 1989, so they say.

Part of me is slightly sickened. (A related part wonders if this is something like attacking Iago.) Another part of me wants to go there.

This has not been Part B in an Occasional Series, although it could have been. This has, however, been one of the several interesting results of spending many hours nestled in the periodicals section of the library.
