A cloud comes over the sunlit arch
Apr. 24th, 2012 11:57 pmCurrently at Toronto Pearson: 4. High today: 7. High temperature below normal today for the fourth day in a row; first time it has been below normal four days in a row at wherever Accuweather records its Toronto records (which are easier to scan than EC's) since October 26-29. Tomorrow has a shot to make it five days in a row below normal for the first time since September 15-19. (For comparison's sake, this month has had streaks of five and eight days above normal. Last month had a streak of fifteen days above normal.) A bit of wet snow early this afternoon, followed by a brief downpour of ice pellets.
No pigeons today, but one of the blackbirds was back. And there was a smallish grey squirrel sitting on the fence, bent right over, so that the top of its head was resting on the fence in front of its body. (Did it have a headache? Was it doing squirrel yoga? Praying?) I don't know how long it had been sitting like that when I first saw it--I saw it like that for maybe fifteen or twenty seconds and then it got up and ran away like an ordinary squirrel.
